Beware! Fake ChatGPT with malware and here's how to remove it

 

ChatGPT (or Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is a chatbot developed by OpenAI and launched in November 2022 as a prototype on November 30, 2022, and quickly garnered attention for its detailed responses and articulate answers across many domains of knowledge. Its uneven factual accuracy, however, was identified as a significant drawback. Following the release of ChatGPT, OpenAI's valuation was estimated at US$29 billion.

But it seems that there are parties who take advantage of ChatGPT's fame by creating malware in the name of ChatGPT. ironically the creator of the virus advertises this malware on facebook freely and maybe on other websites as well. they also make a website with a look similar to the original ChatGPT.

Once this fake application is installed, it cannot be removed. However, it can still be stopped via the Task Manager. The virus maker uses the name "MicrosoftOffice", all you have to do is stop "MicrosoftOffice". Then delete the fake ChatGPT file earlier.

Don't forget to remove ChatGPT registries in "regedit" and disable "ChatGPT" in Task Manager >> Startup.

So far it is unknown what this fake ChatGPT file is doing, which I know is only taking up 38.5MB of RAM but have no idea what it is doing. I don't know if this is a type of mining malware that was popular in 2020. Not wanting to take the risk, I immediately deleted it. For those who already know the original ChatGPT URL, it might not be a problem, but there are still many others who don't know the original ChatGPT URL. Any testimonials and comments that lead to positive things on this fake website can be confirmed to be fake too.
